About Sprachheld and the Language Block Method
Sprachheld is a platform for learning languages. Here you learn a language the way it is really spoken: with language blocks instead of vocabulary lists and grammar drills.
Discover the Language Block Method
Hi, I’m Gabriel
I’m the founder of Sprachheld and a polyglot: I speak six languages. Over the years I have tried just about every way of learning a language and worked with many language experts.
I learned English as an exchange student in Australia, French while studying in France and Spanish through Spanish-speaking friends. In the end one method really helped me, and many Sprachheld learners too: the Language Block Method.
Who else is behind Sprachheld?
Sprachheld has stayed small on purpose. You don’t learn with mass-produced material, but with courses Gabriel has developed himself using the Language Block Method. They were created over many years together with experienced teachers, translators, speakers and illustrators. Today Gabriel and a small team keep improving them.
What our learners say
★★★★★
“I had wanted to learn Spanish for years and always tried it with apps. That’s fun, but in the long run it doesn’t really get you anywhere. […] I really like how the lessons are divided up, and I’m getting closer to my goal of learning Spanish step by step, without overdoing it.”

“I am absolutely thrilled with this course! I had already tried several methods, but only the Language Block Method made it all really make sense to me. You don’t just learn vocabulary, you finally understand how things fit together.”
Elke

“I think I tried everything that was on offer. […] Only learning with language blocks made it possible for me to have a little conversation in Italian. […] 5 stars are not enough!”
